Trogdor the Burninator first appeared in the 2003 Homestar Runner cartoon 'dragon,' where the character Strong Bad was asked to draw a dragon. After several failed attempts, Strong Bad created Trogdor by starting with an 'S,' adding a 'more different S,' a beefy arm for back, and some consummate V's for scales. The character quickly became an internet legend, complete with a heavy metal theme song detailing his penchant for burninating the countryside, the peasants, and their thatched-roof cottages.
