It is almost exclusively associated with the sped-up version of Alan Walker's song 'The Spectre,' specifically the lyrics 'We live, we love, we lie.' The meme is used as a form of 'corecore' or 'shitposting,' often representing a bizarre, wholesome, or nonsensical vibe that captured the collective imagination of Gen Z and Gen Alpha.
